1. On the Windows desktop or Start menu, right-click Computer and select Properties on the pop-up menu to access Windows system settings.
2. Click Advanced System Settings.
3. Click the Advanced tab.
4. Under Performance (Visual effects, processor scheduling, memory usage, and virtual memory), click the Settings button.
5. Select Adjust for best appearance.
6. Make sure the Enable desktop composition check box is selected.

Note: If you prefer to always use offline Help, go to Edit > Preferences > File > Advanced in your Cakewalk software and select Always Use Offline Help.
If you are not connected to the internet, your Cakewalk software will default to showing offline help until an internet connection becomes available.
