Erase tool

The Erase tool lets you delete clips, partial clips, MIDI notes, automation envelope nodes, and transient markers.

To select the Erase tool

Do one of the following:

Click the Erase tool button in the Control Bar.

Press T to display the Tools HUD, then select the Erase tool.

Press F10.

Note: The F10 shortcut key cycles through all Erase tools (Erase/Mute). If another Erase tool is selected, press F10 again until the Erase tool is selected.
