Stretch tool

The Stretch tool lets you slip-stretch audio and MIDI clips, drag-quantize MIDI notes, and stretch audio using transient markers.

Note: The Stretch tool does not work on automation.

To select the Stretch tool

Do one of the following:

Click the Stretch tool button in the Control Bar.

Press T to display the Tools HUD, then select the Stretch tool.

Press F8.

Note: The F8 shortcut key cycles through all Edit tools (Edit/Stretch/Comping/Split). If another Edit tool is selected, press F8 again until the Stretch tool is selected.
