The VocalSync editor can be opened for any VocalSync Region FX clip. For details, see To specify the dub audio and To open the VocalSync editor.Figure 478. VocalSync.Figure 479. VocalSync editor.A. Bypass. Bypass the VocalSync Region FX.
Guide Track. Specify the guide track that contains the correct timing. This is the track the dub audio will be aligned to.
Guide Strength. Modify the dub audio onsets and decays to match the guide track. As you increase the value of the Guide Strength control, the dub audio will snap closer to the guide track.
NF. Show/hide the Noise Filter Strength control.
Noise Filter Strength. Control onset detection with noisy or sporadic audio material. This control may be helpful if your dub or guide track has room noise and/or if the material was recorded in such a way that there is empty space between audio material (i.e. vocal stabs a few measures apart). This is not an audio noise gate, rather it controls the number of onsets detected in a clip. Typically lower adjustments give better results. For details, see To adjust the noise filter strength.
Render. Commit the VocalSync stretching and render the results to a new clip using the offline render mode. VocalSync uses a particular formula, or algorithm, to stretch the audio. It uses a processor-friendly algorithm for online previewing, and a more processor-intensive algorithm for offline render. For the best audio quality, render the VocalSync clip when you are happy with the alignment between the dub and guide track.
Close. Close the VocalSync editor.
