It is now easier to draw new controller data with the Smart Tool in the Piano Roll view Controller pane when there is already lots of data present.In previous versions of Cakewalk, the default Smart tool behavior was to always allow moving/resizing of individual data points when the mouse hovered over them, which made it impossible to draw new data without switching to the Draw tool .Figure 55. The Smart tool lets you draw new controller events even when lots of existing events are present.If you want to move controller events instead of draw new events, do one of the following:
Zoom in horizontally until you are able to grab individual controller events. The Smart Tool allows moving/resizing of individual controller events if they are more than 8 pixels wide.
