Note draw duration buttons

The note draw duration buttons in the Piano Roll view and Staff view define the note duration when drawing new note events with the Smart tool or Freehand tool , and correspond to the note draw duration value in the Tools module.

The following controls are available:

Note draw duration. Specify the desired duration for new notes: whole note, half note, quarter note, eighth note, 16th note, or 32nd note.

Triplet. Reduces the duration of the selected note draw duration by 2/3 of its original duration (three note events fit in the space of two).

Dotted. Increases the duration of the selected note draw duration by half of its original value (150%).
