You can configure the Smart tool to disable comping features while editing clips in Take lanes and re-enable it when you are ready to start building a comp track. For details, see To customize the Smart tool.
Note: The Delete Muted Takes composite clip context menu command has been renamed to Delete Muted Clips to better reflect its function. The command does not delete muted Take lanes, but rather deletes muted clips in the current track that span the composite clip duration.
