When editing MIDI data it is often necessary to align the timing of Controller events with that of Note events. For example, Sustain Pedal (CC64) events need to move along with the notes they are supposed to sustain, and Pitch Wheel events need to move along with the notes whose pitch they are supposed to modify. When the Select Controllers Along with Notes option is enabled, selecting a Note event or a range of Note events will also automatically select any Controller events that exist within the time range of the Note event(s).Note events can be selected by clicking the notes or by lasso-selecting the notes. For more information, see Selecting notes.
If multiple Controller types are selected, only the type you click on can be dragged vertically. The rest will only move in time (horizontally).
Note: The state of the Select Controllers Along With Notes option is global and applies to both the Piano Roll view and inline Piano Roll.
