1. Go to Edit > Preferences > File - Audio Data.
2. Under File Bit Depths, change the Import Bit Depth field to the desired number. You can choose the Original option to import the files at their current bit depth.
3. Click OK.This process changes the default import bit depth, which appears in the Import Audio dialog box. You can override this value for one import process at a time by changing the value in the Import Audio dialog box.

Note: If you prefer to always use offline Help, go to Edit > Preferences > File > Advanced in your Cakewalk software and select Always Use Offline Help.
If you are not connected to the internet, your Cakewalk software will default to showing offline help until an internet connection becomes available.
