1. Go to Edit > Preferences > Project - Record, or right-click the Record button to access recording settings.
2. Under Multi-track grouping, select one of the following options:
Group all clips. All clips that are recorded at the same time are placed in a clip group.
Group only clips in folders (default). All clips in folders are grouped. Different folders have different groups. Tracks not in folders are not grouped.
Do not group tracks. Each new take will belong to a different clip group if loop recording is enabled.
2. Right-click any selected clip and choose Create selection group from selected clips from the pop-up menu.

Note: If you prefer to always use offline Help, go to Edit > Preferences > File > Advanced in your Cakewalk software and select Always Use Offline Help.
If you are not connected to the internet, your Cakewalk software will default to showing offline help until an internet connection becomes available.
